Learning Outcomes
- By the end of the course, students will have a basic understanding of computers and technology, including their uses and functions in everyday life.
- Students will develop foundational skills in using common computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Paint, as well as navigating the internet safely.
- They will learn basic principles of file management, input/output processing, and computer memory, laying the groundwork for further digital literacy.
- Additionally, students will gain awareness of the historical development of computers and the importance of using technology responsibly and ethically.

- Introduction to Technology/Computers:
- Learning Outcome: Students will understand what computers are and how they help people in different tasks.
- ICT Applications:
- Learning Outcome: Students will explore simple computer programs and learn how they are used for learning and fun.
- File Management:
- Learning Outcome: Students will learn how to save and find files on a computer, like storing drawings or stories.
- Input/output processing:
- Learning Outcome: Students will recognize how they give commands to a computer (input) and how the computer responds (output), such as typing on a keyboard or clicking with a mouse.
- Computer Memory:
- Learning Outcome: Students will understand that computers remember things, like games or stories, even when they’re turned off.
- The Effects of Using IT:
- Learning Outcome: Students will discuss how using computers and technology can help them learn and play, but also learn about being safe and kind online.
- Introduction to Internet:
- Learning Outcome: Students will learn about the Internet, a big network of computers that helps people find information and talk to friends.
- Microsoft Word:
- Learning Outcome: Students will practice typing words and making simple documents, like stories or letters, using a computer program called Microsoft Word.
- Paint:
- Learning Outcome: Students will use a program called Paint to draw pictures and be creative on the computer.
- Keyboard & its Functions:
- Learning Outcome: Students will become familiar with the keyboard and learn how to use it to type letters, numbers, and symbols.
- History of Computers:
- Learning Outcome: Students will learn about the history of computers, from very old machines to modern ones like tablets and laptops.
- Interactive Animations and Games:
- Learning Outcome: Students will play simple games and explore fun animations to learn how computers can be used for entertainment and learning.
