Assessment and Grading
Students have two major exams each year: a Midterm exam and a Final Term exam. The
Midterm exam is conducted halfway through the academic year and assesses the students’
understanding and knowledge of the first half of the curriculum. The Final Term exam is
conducted at the end of the academic year and assesses the students’ comprehensive
understanding of the entire curriculum. Both exams contribute significantly to the
students’ final grades and are designed to measure their overall academic performance
throughout the year.
The total marks for percentage calculation are 400, divided equally among four subjects:
English, Math, Technology, and Science. Each subject contributes 100 marks to the
overall total.
Additional subjects, including Urdu, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies, are shown on
the report card but are not included in the total calculation for the percentage, as these
subjects are optional and not all students take them.
Each subject exam is broken down as follows:
- Quizzes account for 60 marks, which is 60% of the total marks for the subject.
- Class projects account for 20 marks, which is 20% of the total marks for the subject.
- Class participation accounts for 10 marks, which is 10% of the total marks for the
subject. All tests and activities conducted during classes are included in class
participation. - Class attendance accounts for 10 marks, which is 10% of the total marks for the subject.
